§ 7B‑2803.  (Forcontingent repeal – see note) Definitions.

For the purposes of thisCompact, "delinquent juvenile" means any juvenile who has beenadjudged delinquent and who, at the time the provisions of this Compact areinvoked, is still subject to the jurisdiction of the court that has madeadjudication or to the jurisdiction or supervision of an agency or institutionpursuant to an order of the court; "probation or parole" means anykind of post‑release supervision of juveniles authorized under the lawsof the states party hereto; "court" means any court havingjurisdiction over delinquent, neglected, or dependent juveniles;"state" means any state, territory, or possession of the UnitedStates, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and"residence" or any variant thereof means a place at which a home orregular place of abode is maintained.
