§81A‑2.  Administration of these Articles.

The provisions of this Chaptershall be administered by the Commissioner or his authorized agent. For thepurpose of administering and giving effect to the provisions of this Chapter,the provisions of Handbook 44 as adopted by the National Conference on Weightsand Measures, are hereby adopted except insofar as modified or rejected by theNorth Carolina Board of Agriculture. The North Carolina Board of Agriculture isempowered to make such further rules and regulations as may be necessary tomake effective the purposes and provisions of this Chapter. Except as otherwiseprovided in G.S. 81A‑30.1, all fees or moneys received by theCommissioner pursuant to this Chapter shall be placed in the Department ofAgriculture and Consumer Services fund for the purpose of enforcing thisChapter.
