§81A‑3.  Systems of weights and measures.

The system of weights andmeasures in customary use in the United States and the metric system of weightsand measures are jointly recognized, and either one or both of these systemsshall be used for all commercial purposes in the State. The definitions ofbasic units of weight and measure, the tables of weight and measure, andweights and measures equivalents as published by the National Bureau ofStandards are recognized and shall govern weighing and measuring equipment andtransactions in the State.
