§ 87-41.1. Definitions. - North Carolina Statutes

§87‑41.1.  Definitions.

As used in this Article,unless the context requires otherwise:

(1)        A "qualifiedindividual" is an individual who is qualified in a specific licenseclassification as a result of having taken and passed the qualifyingexamination required by this Article for such a classification and who has beencertified as such by the Board pursuant to G.S. 87‑42.

(2)        A "listedqualified individual" is a qualified individual whose name is listed on alicense issued by the Board. A listed qualified individual has the specificduty and authority to supervise and direct electrical contracting done by or inthe name of a licensee of the Board on whose license the qualified individualis so listed.

(3)        A licensee of theBoard is a person listed pursuant to subsection (2), or a partnership, firm orcorporation that regularly employs at least one listed qualified individual andwhich has been issued a license by the Board. (1989, c. 709, s. 2.)
