§ 87‑61.1. Board mayseek injunctive relief; retain counsel.
(a) Whenever it appearsto the Board that any person, firm or corporation is violating any of theprovisions of this Article or of the rules and regulations promulgated underthis Article, the Board may apply to the superior court for a restraining orderand injunction to restrain the violation; and the superior courts havejurisdiction to grant the requested relief, irrespective of whether or notcriminal prosecution has been instituted or administrative sanctions imposed byreason of the violation.
(b) The Board mayemploy or retain legal counsel for matters and purposes the Board deems fit andproper, subject to G.S. 114‑2.3. (1979, c. 712, s. 4; 2009‑333, s. 6.)
