§ 87‑98.12.  (Effectiveuntil September 1, 2010) Continuing education requirements; exemption.

(a)        In order tocontinue to be certified under this Article, a well contractor shallsatisfactorily complete the number of hours of approved continuing educationrequired by the Commission. The Commission shall establish the minimum numberof hours of continuing education that shall be required to maintaincertification, shall specify the scope of required continuing educationcourses, and shall approve continuing education courses.

(b)        A well contractorwho is 70 years of age or more; who has engaged in well contractor activity formore than 20 years; who has no record of having violated any provision of thisArticle, Article 7 of this Chapter, or order issued pursuant to or rule adoptedunder this Article or Article 7 of this Chapter in the previous 10 years; andwho meets all other requirements for certification under this Article is exemptfrom continuing education requirements adopted pursuant to this section.
