§ 90-183. Meeting of Board. - North Carolina Statutes

§ 90‑183.  Meetingof Board.

The Board shall meet at least four times per year at the time and placefixed by the Board.  Other meetings may be called by the president of the Boardby giving notice as may be required by rule.  A majority of the Board shallconstitute a quorum.  Meetings shall be open and public except that the Boardmay meet in closed session to prepare, approve, administer, or gradeexaminations, or to deliberate the qualification of an applicant for license orthe disposition of a proceeding to discipline a veterinarian.

At its last meeting of the fiscal year the Board shall organize byelecting, for the following fiscal year, a president, a vice‑president, asecretary‑treasurer, and such other officers as may be prescribed byrule.  Officers of the Board shall serve for terms of one year and until asuccessor is elected, without limitation on the number of terms an officer mayserve.  The president shall serve as chairman of Board meetings.
