§ 90‑270.58C. Continuing education requirements.
The Board shall prescribecontinuing education requirements for licensees. These requirements shall bedesigned to maintain and improve the quality of professional services inmarriage and family therapy provided to the public, to keep the licenseeknowledgeable of current research, techniques, and practice, and to provideother resources that will improve skill and competence in marriage and familytherapy. The number of hours of continuing education shall not exceed thenumber of hours available that year in Board‑approved courses within theState. The Board may waive these continuing education requirements for not morethan 12 months, but only upon the licensee's satisfactory showing to the Boardof undue hardship. The Board may waive, upon request, continuing educationrequirements for licensees who are on active military duty and servingoverseas. (1993(Reg. Sess., 1994), c. 564, s. 2; 2009‑393, s. 14.)
