§ 90‑522.  Title; purpose.

(a)        This Article may be cited as the "Athletic TrainersLicensing Act".

(b)        The practice of athletic trainer services affects the publichealth, safety, and welfare. Licensure of the practice of athletic trainerservices is necessary to ensure minimum standards of competency and to providethe public with safe athletic trainer services. It is the purpose of thisArticle to provide for the regulation of persons offering athletic trainerservices. (1997‑387, s.1.)
