§ 90A‑57.  Election ofofficers; meetings; regulations.

(a)        The Board shallannually elect a chair, vice‑chair, and a secretary‑treasurer fromamong its membership. The officers may serve more than one term. The Boardshall meet annually in the City of Raleigh, at a time set by the Board, and itmay hold additional meetings and conduct business at any place in the State.Seven members of the Board shall constitute a quorum to do business. The Boardmay designate any member to conduct any proceeding, hearing, or investigationnecessary to its purpose, but any final action requires a quorum of the Board.The Board is authorized to adopt such rules and regulations as may be necessaryfor the efficient operation of the Board.

(b)        The Board shallhave an official seal and each member shall be empowered to administer oaths intaking of testimony upon any matters pertaining to the function of the Board.  (1959, c. 1271, s. 3; 1981(Reg. Sess., 1982), c. 1274, s. 2; 2009‑443, s. 8.)
