Amusement Device SafetyAct of North Carolina.
§ 95‑111.1. Short titleand legislative purpose.
(a) This Article shall beknown as the "Amusement Device Safety Act of North Carolina".
(b) The General Assemblyfinds that although most amusement devices are free from defect and operated ina safe manner, those which are not impose a substantial probability of seriousand preventable injury to the public. Protection of the public from exposure tosuch unsafe conditions and the prevention of injuries is in the best interestand welfare of the people of the State.
(c) It is the intent of thisArticle that amusement devices shall be designed, constructed, assembled ordisassembled, maintained, and operated so as to prevent injuries. (1985(Reg. Sess., 1986), c. 990, s. 2.)
