§ 95‑222.  Short title;legislative purpose.

(a)        This Article may becited as the "Migrant Housing Act of North Carolina."

(b)        It is the purposeand policy of the General Assembly to conform migrant housing standards to, asmuch as reasonably possible, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of NorthCarolina, and to ensure safe and healthy migrant housing conditions.  TheGeneral Assembly finds that the general welfare of the State requires theenactment of this law under the police power of the State.
