§ 97-34. Employee receiving an injury when being compensated for former injury.

§97‑34.  Employee receiving an injury when being compensated for formerinjury.

If an employee receives aninjury for which compensation is payable, while he is still receiving orentitled to compensation for a previous injury in the same employment, he shallnot at the same time be entitled to compensation for both injuries, unless thelater injury be a permanent injury such as specified in G.S. 97‑31; buthe shall be entitled to compensation for that injury and from the time of thatinjury which will cover the longest period and the largest amount payable underthis Article. (1929, c. 120, s. 34.)
