TITLE 54STATE GOVERNMENTCHAPTER 54-01SOVEREIGNTY AND JURISDICTION OF STATE54-01-01. Original and ultimate title to all property in state. The original and ultimateright to all property, real or personal, within the limits of this state is in the state.54-01-02. When property escheats. All property, real and personal, within the limits ofthis state, which does not belong to any person or to the United States, belongs to the state.
Whenever the title to any property fails for want of heirs or next of kin, it reverts to the state.54-01-02.1. Unclaimed funds defined. Repealed by S.L. 1975, ch. 425,
