505.28 Creation of waste disposal district.

The board of township trustees may create a waste disposal district under sections 505.27 to 505.33 of the Revised Code, by a unanimous vote of the board and give notice thereof by a publication in two newspapers of general circulation in the township. If, within thirty days after such publication, a protest petition is filed with the board, signed by at least fifty per cent of the electors residing in the district, the act of the board in creating such district shall be void. If a petition is filed with the board asking for the creation of such a district in the township, accompanied by a map clearly showing the boundaries of such district, and signed by at least sixty-five per cent of the electors residing therein, with addresses of such signers, the board shall, within sixty days, create such a district.

Each district shall be given a name, and the entire cost of any necessary equipment and labor shall be apportioned against each district by the respective boards.
