5531.18 Application to construct and operate a toll project.
The director of transportation shall establish a procedure whereby a political subdivision or other governmental agency or agencies may submit a written application to the director requesting the department of transportation to construct and operate a toll project within the boundaries of the subdivision, agency, or agencies making the request. The procedure shall include a requirement that the director send a written reply to the subdivision, agency, or agencies explaining the disposition of the request. The procedure established pursuant to this section shall not become effective unless it is approved by the Ohio transportation finance commission created under section 5531.12 of the Revised Code.
