SUBCHAPTER F GUARDIANSHIP SUPPORT Sec. 5551. Guardianship support agencies; legislative intent. 5552. Services to individuals whose decision-making ability is impaired. 5553. Guardianship services. 5554. Services to courts, guardians and others. 5555. Costs and compensation. Enactment. Subchapter F was added April 16, 1992, P.L.108, No.24, effective in 60 days. Applicability. See section 21 of Act 24 of 1992 in the appendix to this title for special provisions relating to applicability. Cross References. Subchapter F is referred to in sections 3155, 5511, 5521 of this title. § 5551. Guardianship support agencies; legislative intent. The General Assembly finds that there is a need for agencies to provide services, as an alternative to guardianship, to individuals whose decision-making ability is impaired, to serve as guardian when an individual is found to need a guardian and no other person is willing and qualified to serve and to provide services to courts, guardians and others.
