1511 - Cancellation, removal and preservation of registration records.
§ 1511. Cancellation, removal and preservation of registration records. (a) General rule.--If the registration of a registered elector is canceled for any cause, the commission shall mark on the registration record of the elector the word "canceled" and the date and cause of cancellation and shall remove them from the general and district registers. Such record shall be kept for five years, after which the commission may destroy it. (b) Nonessential records.--All records which are not essential for maintaining the current status of a registered elector may be destroyed by the commission after three years. Cross References.
