2302 - Finding, policy and purpose.
§ 2302. Finding, policy and purpose. The General Assembly finds that animal health is of major economic interest in this Commonwealth. It is the declared policy of the Commonwealth to assure the health and welfare of animals kept in captivity, to prevent and control diseases and dangerous substances that may threaten the safety of animals and humans and to provide for desirable management practices for the production, keeping and use of domestic animals. It is the purpose of this chapter to give the department authority to implement this policy.
