§ 3007. Organization of council. On the first Monday of January following the regular municipal election, the members of council shall assemble at the usual place of meeting, organize and elect a president from among its members who shall preside at its meetings and perform such other duties as council may prescribe and a vice president who shall preside in the absence of the president. If the first Monday is a legal holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next day.
