§ 3061. Inability of municipal manager to perform duties. The municipal manager may designate a qualified administrative officer of the municipality to perform his duties during his temporary absence or disability. In the event of his failure to make a designation or if the absence or disability continues more than 30 days, the council may appoint an officer of the municipality to perform the duties of the manager during the absence or disability until the manager returns or his disability ceases.
