§ 3153. Selection of controller. Under any of the optional plans as set forth in this subpart, except for the plans set forth in Subchapter F of Chapter 30 (relating to optional county plan), the office of controller may be omitted or it may be filled by election by the electors rather than by appointment when recommended by the government study commission and adopted by the electors. If the office of controller is to be filled by appointment, a controller shall be appointed for an indefinite term by a majority of the members of the governing body.
