1771 - Cost of transporting inmates.
§ 1771. Cost of transporting inmates. The cost of transporting inmates committed to the joint detention facilities shall be paid by the counties, respectively, from which the inmates are committed. The sheriff of the county for inmates committed by the court and constables for inmates committed by magisterial district judges shall receive for the inmates committed to the joint detention facilities no mileage or travel expenses on writs, except the actual cost of transporting the inmates to the joint detention facilities, together with any other fees for their services allowed by law.
