§ 1-4-8 - Duties of director. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 1-4-8

   § 1-4-8  Duties of director. – It shall be the duty of the director to foster aeronautics within this state inaccordance with the provisions of this chapter and for that purpose thedirector shall:

   (1) Encourage the establishment of airports and other airnavigation facilities;

   (2) Make recommendations to the governor and the generalassembly as to necessary legislation or action;

   (3) Study the possibilities for the development of aircommerce and the aeronautical industry and trade within the state and collectand disseminate information relative to the development; and

   (4) Advise with the Federal Aviation Administration and otheragencies of the federal government and with state authorities in carryingforward any research and development work the tends to increase and improveaeronautics within this state.
