SECTION 11-17-3

   § 11-17-3  Passing of counterfeitcertificates, bills, or notes. – Every person who shall utter, publish, pass, or tender in payment as true, anyfalse, forged, counterfeited, or altered certificate, security or bank bill ornote, knowing it to be false, forged, counterfeited, or altered, with intent todefraud, shall be imprisoned not exceeding ten (10) years nor less than two (2)years.
