SECTION 11-25-5

   § 11-25-5  Officer voluntarily allowingprisoner to escape. – Every jailer or other officer, who shall voluntarily suffer any prisoner in hisor her custody upon conviction or upon any criminal charge to escape, shall bepunished by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years, or by a fine of notmore than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or both.
