SECTION 11-25-6

   § 11-25-6  Officer negligently allowingescape. – Every jailer or other officer, who shall be convicted of negligently sufferingany prisoner in his or her custody upon conviction or upon any criminal chargeto escape, shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than five (5) years,or by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or both.
