SECTION 11-25-7

   § 11-25-7  Rescue of prisoner. – Every person who shall set at liberty or rescue, either by force or stratagem,any person convicted of any crime or offense or in the custody of any officerupon any criminal charge, or confined in any jail, lock-up, police station orother place of detention upon any criminal charge, shall be punished byimprisonment for not more than ten (10) years, or by a fine of not more thanone thousand dollars ($1,000), or both.
