SECTION 11-25-9

   § 11-25-9  Assisting inmate of correctionalinstitutions to escape. – Every person who shall convey any tools to, or shall have any communicationwithout lawful authority therefor or hold any conversation with any prisonerconfined in the adult correctional institutions, from the outside of theinstitutions, or shall convey any tools or instruments to or in any way assistin the escape or attempted escape of any person from any institution under themanagement and control of the department of corrections, or shall harbor orassist that person, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be finednot exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) or be imprisoned not exceeding three(3) years.
