§ 11-36-9 - Obstruction of street railway company.

SECTION 11-36-9

   § 11-36-9  Obstruction of street railwaycompany. – Every person who shall willfully and maliciously obstruct a street railwaycompany in the use of its tracks, or willfully and maliciously delay orobstruct the passing of its cars or carriages, shall be punished by a fine notexceeding three thousand dollars ($3,000) or by imprisonment not exceeding two(2) years; provided, that nothing in this chapter shall be construed tointerfere with the necessary work of laying and repairing any gas or waterpipes or sewers, or the necessary and reasonable obstruction of tracks byvehicles in the process of loading and unloading not prohibited by any town orcity ordinance. Every person who shall aid, assist, abet, counsel, hire,command, or procure any person to do or attempt any of the acts mentioned inthis section shall be subject to fine or imprisonment pursuant to this section.
