SECTION 11-37-12

   § 11-37-12  Proof of resistanceunnecessary. – In any prosecution brought under this chapter, it shall not be necessary toprove that the victim physically resisted the accused if the victim reasonablybelieved that resistance would be useless and might result in his or herserious bodily injury.
