SECTION 11-37-8.6

   § 11-37-8.6  Special assessment –Payment for treatment or counseling. – In addition to all other statutory costs and assessments, every person,adjudged guilty of the provisions of § 11-37-8.1 or 11-37-8.3, whether bytrial, plea of guilty or plea of nolo contendere, shall pay a specialassessment of one hundred dollars ($100). In addition to any other penaltyprovided by law, any person convicted under §§ 11-37-8.1 –11-37-8.3 may be required, as part of the sentence imposed by the court, to paythe cost of any necessary medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment ofthe child resulting from the act or acts for which the defendant is convicted.
