SECTION 11-41-13

   § 11-41-13  Obtaining signature by falsepretenses. – Every person who, by any false pretense or pretenses, with intent to cheat ordefraud, shall obtain the signature of any person to any written instrument,the false making of which would be punished as forgery, shall be punished byimprisonment for not more than five (5) years or by a fine of not more than onethousand dollars ($1,000), or both.
