SECTION 11-41-6

   § 11-41-6  Attempted larceny. – Whoever attempts to commit larceny by doing any act toward the commission ofthe offense, but fails in its perpetration, shall, unless otherwise provided,suffer the same punishment which might have been inflicted if the attemptedoffense had been committed.
