SECTION 12-10-10

   § 12-10-10  Commitment or recognizance onadjournment. – In case of an adjournment, if the accused is charged with any offense notbailable by the district court, he or she shall, in the meantime, be committedto the adult correctional institutions; but if bailable, the accused may giverecognizance in a sum and with surety or sureties to the satisfaction of thecourt for his or her appearance for further examination, and for want ofrecognizance may be committed to the institutions.
