SECTION 12-10-9

   § 12-10-9  Adjournment of trial orexamination. – The district court may adjourn any trial or examination pending before it, fromtime to time, not exceeding fourteen (14) days at any one time, except with theconsent or at the request of the accused, and to the same or to a differentplace in the same division.
