SECTION 12-12-1.3

   § 12-12-1.3  Lesser offenses, penalty.– An offense which may be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding oneyear or a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000) may be prosecuted bycomplaint.
