SECTION 12-19-29

   § 12-19-29  Sentence to give recognizanceto keep the peace. – In addition to the punishment prescribed by law, the district court may requirethe person to enter into recognizance, with sufficient surety and in any sumthat it shall direct, with condition to keep the peace toward all the people ofthis state for a certain time thereafter, not exceeding eleven (11) months; andupon the refusal or neglect of the person to comply with that requirement, thesame course shall be pursued as is provided on neglecting to comply withsentence in case of threats.
