SECTION 12-21-14

   § 12-21-14  Forfeiture for failure toaccount. – Every clerk who shall neglect or refuse to account with the city or towntreasurer as required in this chapter, or to pay over to him or her all moneysdue the city or town at the time when they ought to be paid, shall forfeitthrice the amount of the moneys so withheld or not paid, to be recovered by anaction of debt for the use of the city or town.
