SECTION 12-21-23

   § 12-21-23  Seizure and retention offorfeited property. – Whenever any personal property shall be forfeited for any violation of law, anysheriff, deputy sheriff, town sergeant, or constable within his or herprecinct, or any person by law authorized to seize the property, may take andretain the property until he or she shall deliver it to a proper officer havinga warrant to take and detain the property.
