   § 12-25.1-8  Public notice. – The general treasurer, at least once every six (6) months for three (3) yearsfrom the date he or she receives those moneys, shall cause to have published alegal notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the state advisingpotential claimants that those funds are available to satisfy money judgmentspursuant to this chapter. The general treasurer may, in his or her discretion,provide for any additional notice that he or she deems necessary. The expensesof the advertisements shall be charged against the appropriate portion of thefund.
