SECTION 13-8-33

   § 13-8-33  Violations of communitysupervision – penalties. – Any person who violates a condition of community supervision shall be guilty ofa separate offense and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to no more than oneyear in prison; provided, if the violation also constitutes a criminal offensethe term of imprisonment shall be consecutive to any sentence received for thecommission of the new offense.
