SECTION 16-15-17

   § 16-15-17  Payment of grants for teachersretiring prior to July 1, 1949. – (a) Upon the passage of this chapter the department of elementary and secondaryeducation shall apportion the retirement grant into monthly benefits and shalldisburse monthly benefits to all eligible retired teachers under this law.

   (b) The state controller is authorized and directed to drawhis or her orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of those sums thatmay be required from time to time upon receipt by the controller of propervouchers approved by the department of elementary and secondary education andthe retirement division in the department of treasury.
