SECTION 16-2-21.3

   § 16-2-21.3  Meetings with city and towncouncils. – For the purposes of §§ 16-2-21 and 16-2-21.2, the term "town or citycouncil" means the town or city council or other elected body charged by eitherlocal charter or public law with either preparing the budget for submission totown meeting or for final adoption of the budget. Meetings between the town orcity council, as defined, and the school committee shall be held under theprovision of law governing the meetings of the council. The school committee ofa regional school district shall meet independently with the council of eachtown or city within the regional school district.
