SECTION 16-2-24

   § 16-2-24  Survey of city or town schools.– The state board of regents for elementary and secondary education may make orcause to be made a survey of the public schools of any city or town, and shallmake the survey upon the request of the school committee of any city or town;provided, that the school committee shall share one-half ( 1/2) the cost of anysurvey that it requests and the state department of elementary and secondaryeducation shall also share half of the cost. The board of regents forelementary and secondary education shall include in its annual report to thegeneral assembly a summary of its findings upon the surveys with therecommendations as shall seem advisable.
