SECTION 16-21.2-5

   § 16-21.2-5  Funding of substance abuseprevention program. – (a) Money to fund the Rhode Island Substance Abuse Prevention Act shall beappropriated from state general revenues and shall be raised by assessing anadditional penalty of thirty dollars ($30.00) for all speeding violations asset forth in § 31-43-5.1. The money shall be deposited as generalrevenues. The department of mental health, retardation, and hospitals mayutilize up to ten percent (10%) of the sums appropriated for the purpose ofadministering the substance abuse prevention program.

   (b) Grants made under this chapter shall not exceed moneyavailable in the substance abuse prevention program.
