SECTION 16-22-12
§ 16-22-12 Required courses on alcohol andsubstance abuse. – (a) The school committees of the several cities, towns, and school districtsshall provide for the incorporation of mandatory instruction of students ingrades one through twelve (12) on the effects of alcohol and substance abuseupon the human system in existing health education or other courses.
(b) The board of regents for elementary and secondaryeducation shall institute courses of instructions for teachers in the publicschool system on the effects of alcohol and substance abuse.
