§ 16-42-2 - Regulations of the board of regents. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 16-42-2

   § 16-42-2  Regulations of the board ofregents. – It shall be the duty of the board of regents for elementary and secondaryeducation to establish regulations for the purpose of carrying out the intentof this chapter; these regulations shall include:

   (1) Criteria for the identification of gifted and talentedstudents in the categories in § 16-42-1.

   (2) Criteria for education programming for each category ofgifted and talented.

   (3) Criteria for monitoring and evaluating of educationalprograms.

   (4) Definitions of responsibilities of local schoolcommittees and the department of elementary and secondary education.

   (5) Other rules and regulations for the purpose of carryingout the intent of this chapter.
