SECTION 16-44-7

   § 16-44-7  Annual appropriations. –The general assembly shall annually appropriate any sum as it may deemnecessary for the maintenance and support of the community colleges. The statecontroller is authorized and directed to draw his or her orders upon thegeneral treasurer for the payment of the sum, or so much of the sum as may berequired from time to time, upon receipt by the controller of properlyauthenticated vouchers.
