   § 16-53.1-3  Duties of the schoolimprovement teams. – Each school improvement team shall perform any functions that are prescribed byregulations of the school board or school committee; no school improvement teamshall have any of the powers and duties now reserved by law to the schoolboard. Each school improvement team shall assist in the preparation andevaluation of the school improvement plans and shall provide any assistancethat the principal may request in preparing the school's annual budget and planas required by law.
